Each ml contains :
Furosemide
B.P. 20 mg
Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate
B.P. 0.63 mg
Phenol (As preservative)
B.P. 0.5% v/v
Water for Injection
B.P. q.s.
INDICATION
For treatment of oedema of different etiology in Bovines, Sheep and Horses.
Especially indicated for treatment of post-partum udder oedema in Cows.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Concomitant use of aminoglycoside antibiotics should be avoided due to possible potentiation of nephrotoxic effects of Furosemide.
Do not exceed recommended dose and duration of treatment.
As with all diuretic drugs, over dosage for prolonged periods of time may cause electrolyte imbalance. In this case, treatment should be suspended and electrolyte balance restored.
Do not administer to animals with compromised liver or kidney function.
Do not administer to Horses used for human consumption.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Administer by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection at a dose rate of 0.5 ml per 20 kg body weight.
The dose may be repeated after 24 hours.
The duration of treatment may vary depending on the clinical condition.
Usually, two doses at a 24-hour interval are sufficient.
